Netstumbler (officially called Network Stumbler) is a computer program used to find out all information possible about a particular network connection. This program works for both Internet and regular local area connections. You can even use Netstumbler to find your Internet protocol address, which is a unique number used by your computer. Your IP address is used by your Internet service provider to record your activities while on the Web. Click “Start.” Click “All Programs.” Click the “Network Stumbler” folder followed by the “Network Stumbler” icon. Click the green “Play” button to analyze your network connection. Click “SSIDs” from the column on the left side of the Netstumbler window. This will display an informational page pertaining to your network connection, which will also include your IP address.
