Historical Treasury bond rates may not be something you need every day. However, when you need this specialized information, you will want to know how and where to find it. Go directly to the source: the U.S. Federal Reserve. The Federal Reserve publishes a statistical release each business day online. The release includes archived historical data that can be used to find the treasury bond rate you require. Data in the archives dates back to January 2, 2003. Go to the website for the Federal Reserve: www.federalreserve.gov. Choose “Publications” on the top right of the main menu. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and choose “Selected Interest Rates – H.15” under “Most Requested Publications.” The next screen will provide interest rates for the prior week. The information is sorted by date and type of financial instrument.
