How Do You Find Fun, Cheap Quality Time Family Activities?
My wife was a stay-at-home mom when our kids were at home, so that meant we didn’t have a lot of money to spend on fun family activities. If you’re looking for cheap, fun ways to have quality family time, here’s what worked for us. Make a list of fun seasonal things to do *two seasons* from now. So, if it’s summer when you’re reading this, list fun WINTER activities. Spring? Make a list of fall activities. The reason to jump two seasons into the future is that it makes brainstorming easier. If you ask yourself what you could do right now, you’ll probably have a pretty short list. But ask yourself what you’d love to do in six months, and your list will be longer. Find a local. Now, just because someone’s lived somewhere their entire life, that doesn’t make them “a local.” In fact, some of my best “locals” have been people who’ve lived somewhere less time than I have!
