How Do You Find Cheap Hotels In Lenox, Massachusetts?
Lenox is in western Massachusetts, in the Berkshire Hills. In the 1800s, Lenox became the summer retreat for many of the richest people from Boston and New York. They built elaborate mansions that they called “cottages.” Lenox is now a summer getaway for anyone who wants cooler temperatures and beautiful scenery. It is also the home of the Tanglewood Music Center, where the Boston Symphony Orchestra performs in the summer. Fly into the Albany, New York airport (less than an hour away) or Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut (about an hour and a half away). Both airports have ample car rental facilities. If you’re driving, cruise along the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), then travel just ten minutes north. The trip from Boston is about two and a half hours, and from New York about three hours. Listen to the Boston Symphony Orchestra, chamber music, pop and jazz at the Tanglewood Music Center. Performances run from June to September. See and learn at the Berkshire Scenic
