How Do You Find An Insurance Companys Rating With A.M Best?
Insurance ratings are put together by the analysis of certain criteria. These ratings give you the means to compare insurers. A.M. Best has been evaluating insurance companies for more than 100 years. Best gives financial strength ratings, issuer credit ratings and debt ratings for each company. Go to the A.M. Best Company website. A.M. Best Company provides news, ratings and financial data for most insurance companies in the industry. Look at the top left of the A.M. Best homepage. There’s a box where you can type in the insurance company’s name. Click “Find.” Scroll through the list that pops up. Click on the company you’re looking for. Complete a profile and create and user name to become a member of the A.M. Best website. It’s free and will give you access to ratings information. Click on “Ratings and Analysis” along the top of the homepage. This will bring you into the ratings center of A.M. Best.
