How To Find a Unique Prom Dress Sunday March 9, 2008 During prom season when I was in high school, we would spend hours describing our dresses to anyone who would listen, in hopes that making our dresses known would intimidate anyone into wearing the same thing. Much like guys call dibs on basketball games, we were essentially calling “dibs” on prom dresses. One time, this backfired and caused an all-out girl fight when two girls realized they fell in love with the same dress and neither would let the other one “claim” it. The whole situation was just like that episode of Friends when Monica got in a wedding dress tug-of-war with another bride-to-be… minus the veil, plus a whole lot of sequins.
