School is mentally and physically taxing. Summers should be spent on the beach. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. Here are some tips to make your summer job search efficient and successful. Step 1 Look at the classified section. The newspaper contains literally hundreds of job opportunities. Call around and see what kind of help the company is looking for. With this in mind, most businesses want their workers to stick around as long as possible. But if the company is ok knowing you’ll be gone in late August, then it’s a good sign they’ll hire a student. Step 2 Keep an open mind when applying. Your summer job isn’t going to be your career. If you can be open as to what types of jobs you’d be willing to do, you’ll increase the likelihood of getting hired in a timely manner.
