How Do You Find A Quiet Beach In The Outer Banks?
The Outer Banks are a series of barrier islands along the North Carolina shore. If you are planning to spend some time there, plan to spend time at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. To visit the area, you’ll need to make your way to North Carolina Route 12 – whether you’re arriving from the north or the south. If you’re entering from the north, the first beach that you will get to is Coquina Beach on Bodie Island on the ocean side of the island. Coquina is less likely to be crowded than the nearby area at the Bodie Island Lighthouse. Continuing south from here on Route 12, you will pass through the areas Rodanthe, Waves and Salvo, and then you will reach another day use area.
