Denver, site of 2008’s Democratic Convention, has positioned itself as a “green” town. This is helping attract environmentally-conscious travelers, which means BIG money for the town. Hotels, restaurants, print shops and all kinds of service-based businesses are rapidly jumping on the “green” bandwagon. How do you find a “green” hotel in Denver? There are a growing number of resources to help, so read on. First, decide how “green” you want your hotel to be. There are varying degrees to choose from. Check out the Green Hotel Association. A good resource for the different shades of green, it details what green practices each member hotel has (see Resources below).
