How Do You Fill Out A Juvenile Inmate Incident Report?
We all in one way, or another have filled out or verbally stated an incident report before. This may have occurred professionally or personally. The format for writing a Juvenile incident report is in some ways the same as others, but they differ distinctly in there content and context. “Let’s see how it’s done”! First, list the first and last name(s) of all juveniles involved in the incident. Secondly, list the date of the occurrence, time of the occurrence and where the occurrence happened. Thirdly, document completely the series of events that (the officer personally eye witnessed and verbal communication that they used)occurred prior to actual event. Always write in first person when completing these reports such as: This writer witnessed said inmate carter walking down the hall, when…….) Next, list the officer’s actions in the de-escalation of the incident (what amount of force did the officer use to bring the inmate into compliance). Document whether the officer escorted the
