How Do You File An Ohio Unemployment Claim?
• Access the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services at www.jfs.ohio.gov. • Click on the “How to Apply for Unemployment” link under the “Jobs” heading in the lefthand column. • Go to the online unemployment filing system by clicking on the appropriate link. • Register by clicking on the “Create a New Account” link under the “Unemployed Workers” heading in the lefthand column. • Click on “I Agree” after the Release of Information statement. • Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Social Security number, and then click Login. • Supply all required information. This includes name, address, driver’s license number, employment history, reason for unemployment and information about any dependents. • Note that additional information is required if you had a job with the federal government, were employed in another state or were in the military.
