The wording of the Communications Act of 1934 prohibits the use of cell phone blockers, cell phone signal scramblers, and cell phone jammers. The Federal Communications Commission is in charge of enforcing this law. Fines for violation of law can be as high as $11,000. Also violators can be imprisoned for up to one year.
