How do you feel about Sonia Sotomayor and the Supremes?
Frankly, I’m disappointed. I wanted Diane Wood. I’m staunchly pro-choice and pro-women’s rights, and that was the keystone issue for me. Of all Obama’s choices, he chose the least progressive. Nevertheless she has been quoted as saying that the government is “free to favor the anti-abortion position over the pro-choice position.” Judging from her choice of phrases “anti-abortion” and “pro-choice”, it’s abundantly clear she isn’t a Fetus Cultist. Moreover, Obama probably asked Sotomayor of her abortion views, just to be safe, in the interview:
