How do you feel about “All inclusive” resorts with weddings included?
I was a ‘maid in a friend’s wedding at an all inclusive resort where they had their wedding. It was a nice venue near a cliff overlooking the beach. It was nice. I had no complaints, and neither did she. As far as inviting guests, there is no hard and fast rule that you have to pay their air fare or accommodations. Most guests pay for their own way, but keep in mind that if you’re going to have excursions planned, don’t plan anything too costly, and DON’T make guests participate. They get to decide. I have seen some people pay for their parents’ trip, but this is, like I said, not required. You can save money, OR you can end up spending more. It depends on where you go, and how lavish an affair you want. Some weddings on the Hawaiian islands just have an officiant, a lei or two, perhaps a bouquet for the bride and a champagne toast.
