How Do You Feed A 9 Month Old Baby?
My son is 6 months and we’ve already started solids. He eats 5 oz. of formula every 3-4 hours and he also eats oatmealand fruit for breakfast, a fruit and/or veggie for lunch, and a veggie and sometimes meat for dinner. He foesn’t eat very much of the solids at one sitting since he’s still new to it. I think he eats about 2-2.5 oz., which is the amount that comes in the stage 1 baby food jars. I wouldn’t put his formula in a sippy cup. I keep the bottle for formula and then I let him have a little bit of water from a sippy cup. He does fine with that. As for introducing the solids, I introduced the cereal, then all of the veggies, one at a time. Then we moved onto the fruit. My son isn’t a picky eater. He doesn’t discriminate against fruit or veggies. I would, however, hold off on giving him juice until he’s at least a year old. It will give him a sweet tooth and it’s not nutritionally necessary. Good luck with your little man!
