Flower boxes can add a splash of color to your outdoor decorating, but they can also be difficult to maintain. Keep the color but skip the maintenance by using artificial flowers in your flower boxes instead; you can display them anywhere and replace them with a new batch whenever you want a change of scenery. Cut the floral foam. Measure so it is approximately 1/2 inch shorter in length and width than the bottom of your flower box, and cut to those dimensions. It should come up about halfway to the top of your box. This will help to anchor your flowers in position. Glue the foam into your flower box. Use your hot glue gun to apply glue to the floor of your flower box and glue down the floral foam. This way your flowers won’t wiggle too much in windy weather. Add the flowers.
