How Do You Fade A Denim Jacket?
Denim is one of the most durable, versatile and enduring stylish fabrics available. Denim jackets are exceptional for their strength, warmth and adaptability. However, sometimes people purchase a denim jacket, hoping that it will fade slightly, but soon realize that they want the denim to be several shades lighter than it is. Because of the discontinuation of several products to aid the fading process, people are generally resorting to other techniques to give their denim jacket the faded quality they want. Wash the denim jacket in your washing machine with very hot water several times in a row. Put on your rubber gloves and soak the denim jacket in a basin or sink with one part bleach and four parts water. Leave the jacket submerged for five minutes. Remove the jacket from the basin. Rinse the jacket thoroughly with cold water. Wash the denim jacket in the washing machine with laundry detergent in warm water, and select the extra rinse cycle option. Hang the jacket to dry.
