These fabric cornice boards spruce up any room in the house! Step 1 Measure the width of the window to determine the dimensions of the cornice board. Decide on the width of your side pieces. These measurements will also be used for the size of fabric needed. Step 2 Cut plywood by using a hand saw. You will want the use the measurements here, because this will determine the size the wood needs to be. Remember to wear your protective gloves and goggles.
