How Do You Extract Windows Vista Icons?

0

While many programs exist to extract icons from files in which they’re embedded, not all of them support the icon encoding used by Windows Vista. The extremely simple Batch Icon Extractor, however, does, and can extract any number of icons from any number of files with a single command. Download Batch Icon Extractor from the link in “Resources.” Place the downloaded EXE file on your desktop. Drag an icon source onto the EXE file–a file, a folder, or a selected group of either. The program will extract icons from all the selected files, or all the files in the selected folders. Double click the “icons” folder that will appear on the desktop to view the extracted icons.
