How Do You Extract Macintosh Bin Files?

0

BIN files are unlike most other types of file extensions, because they are not associated with any one specif program. BIN files are basically just universal binary files. They are similar to ISO files in the sense that they can contain a large variety of data and media formats. To open a BIN file on a Macintosh computer all you need is a free piece of software called The Unarchiver. Download The Unarchiver (See Resources). Drag the DMG (Disk Mount Image) to your Applications folder to install The Unarchiver. Right-click on the BIN file you want to open, mouse over “Open With…” and select “The Unarchiver.” The Unarchiver will then extract the contents of the BIN file to your desktop.
