How do you expect this to pass when Wilmington can not pass a town garage vote?
The facility issue of the school, as we all know, has been a problem for some time. The current facilities committee has worked for more than two years on this third attempt to solve this issue. The problem exists and we must continue to work to solve it independent of other town facility problems. It may be that the solution of the town garage problem and the high school facility serve each other. The current high school site at Wilmington needs more space for parking. The availability of the existing town garage space could save the high school a significant expense of site work and the construction of a retaining wall and perhaps that savings could be passed back to Wilmington in exchange for the land. If the communities chose this option this possibility could be further investigated and some arrangement could be made between the Twin Valley board and the town of Wilmington.
