How Do You Erase Cookies On A Computer?
Erasing or deleting cookies from your computer is a great way to free up space and protect your privacy. Cookies are small files that are saved on your hard drive and each time you visit web sites the site looks for these files so it can gather information about you and your computer. Cookies can also pose a threat to your privacy by allowing other people who have access to your computer to view these files and learn what web sites you have been browsing. If you are using Internet Explorer 7 or later, here is a quick and easy way to remove the Cookies and protect yourself from such invasions of privacy. Start Internet Explorer and locate the Menu bar at the top on the left side. From the Menu bar select “Tools.” Select “Internet Options.” Go to the “General Tab.” Under the “Browsing History” area, click the “Delete” button. In the Delete Browsing History window click the “Delete Cookies” button and then click “Yes.” Click “Close” and then “OK” to save.
