How Do You Ensure Excellent Customer Service?
• Approach all your customers as though they are your friends. Be yourself, as you would be with a friend, and not a put-on version of you that is overly friendly or overly-formal. Most customers have enough experience with customer service personnel to know when they are being played up to or being treated like every other customer at any business. By listening to them as closely as you would a friend, expressing sincere concern for their issues, and working with them to devise a solution, you’ll be going above and beyond the normal level of customer service to which most people are accustomed. • If a customer left something behind at your place of business, offer to deliver it to them then take the time to either drive it yourself, or have an employee take it to them. • If a customer calls with a serious complaint or problem, show your sincere regrets with actions rather than just words. Send a refund check with a handwritten note, load a reasonable amount onto a gift card or reward
