While some say the city thrives from students, the truth is, the city thrives all year long with different events including festivals and the New York State Fair. If you’re planning a trip to Syracuse this summer, here are a few ways you can enjoy your time. One of the few festivals that you have to pay to attend is the Empire State Brewing and Music Festival. Locally known simply as the Brew Fest, this is a one-day event on July 10. It will cost you about $35 to head to Clinton Square in downtown Syracuse for beer tasting and live bands. Hundreds and hundreds of classic cars will be rolling into the city for the Syracuse Nationals. The Nationals are held at the New York State Fairgrounds from July 17 through the 19.
