The Cleveland (Ohio) Metroparks system is one of the largest and most extensive metropolitan park systems in the United States. Dubbed, the “Emerald Necklace” because of its “U”-shaped pattern of interconnected parks, the Cleveland Metroparks include over 20,000 acres of park land. One of the most interesting of the scores of trails in the Cleveland Metroparks is the one that hubs the remnants of the Ohio-Erie Canal in Valley View Ohio.
