When one thinks of the enthralling city of San Francisco the first items to leap to mind are often its wonderful restaurants, museums and nightclubs. Make sure to spend several hours in Golden Gate Park, a superb and sprawling haven rich with forested paths, rolling glens and pretty ponds. Stow Lake is a fine place to take to the water, with rowboats, pedal-boats and even motorboats available for rental. While in GG Park, take a break from it all at the Japanese Tea Garden, one of the finest of its kind in America. and a Mecca of trout ponds, colorful pagodas, antique statuary and a high-arcing ‘moon bridge.’ An open-air teahouse and nifty gift shop add to the allure.
