How Do You Enjoy Hilton Island, South Carolina?
Hilton Head Island is located off the coast of South Carolina in the United States on the Atlantic Ocean. Its twelve miles of beach front property and pleasant climate make it a popular vacation destination. It is the largest barrier island on the Atlantic Coast of the United States after Long Island in New York. It is accessible by air into a regional airport located on the island, or into Savannah International Airport about an hour away. By road, it is located about 30 minutes from the Interstate Highway I-95. Probably one of the most popular pastimes on this small, beautiful island is golf. Even though the island is only fifty-five square miles, there are twenty-four golf courses on the island, and another two dozen nearby.
