How Do You End A Phone Conversation?
Everyone knows someone that loves to talk. Getting them off the phone seems impossible. Here are some ways to put an end to that lengthy phone conversation. Use phrases that come at the end of a conversation such as, “it’s been great talking to you” or “thanks for the chat.” This is a subtle way to let the other party know you are trying to wrap up the conversation. If subtlety doesn’t work, be direct. Tell the person you have a long “to do” list that needs attention and you must get off the phone. Be truthful and polite but firm. If politeness and honesty doesn’t work, be more creative. Fake a bad cell phone connection, an incoming call you must answer or a sudden urge to use the restroom.
