Follow my steps to determine age appropriate chores and how you can encourage your children to stay involved. Determine what kind of chores your child is capable of doing. Some may need to be done everyday while others will be every other day or even just on weekends. After you have sorted all of the details, make a chart. This can either be on paper that you hang on the refrigerator or the wall. Once the chart is complete, have a meeting with your child/children to explain their chores, how the chart will work, and what their rewards will be.
