The Java programming language is included in a variety of websites across the Internet. If Internet Explorer 7 does not have Java enabled, you will not be able to see any of a website’s features that are programmed and displayed in Java. Java can be turned on by changing settings within Internet Explorer 7. Open Internet Explorer 7 by double-clicking the icon on your desktop. Click the “Tools” button located on the menu bar at the top of the Internet Explorer window. Click the “Internet Options” button from the drop-down menu that appears. Select the “Programs” tab. Click the “Manage add-ons” button located underneath the “Manage add-ons” heading. Find the “Java Plug-in” option in the list of add-ons. Click the “Java Plug-in” listing to highlight it. Click the “Enable” button. Click the “Close” button to exit out of the window. Click the “OK” button on the Internet Options window. Close Internet Explorer 7 and reopen it to finalize the changes.
