Surfing the internet on an eMachine functions the same as surfing on another computer that is using Internet Explorer. For many websites to load properly, or to show up at all, you need to have your cookies enabled. Cookies are data that a web site will store on your computer, and it will retrieve that data when you revisit that website. Enabling, and disabling, cookies will keep your system running smoothly. Turn computer power on and open a web page. Select “Tools” at the top of your browser page. Scroll down to “Internet Options” and select it. Select the “Privacy” tab at the top of the “Internet Options” page. Slide the bar to your desired setting for allowing cookies from the internet. The bar select can run from “Accept all cookies” to “Block all cookies.” Most computers function well when the bar is set to between “Low” and “High.” Click on “Apply”
