How Do You Eliminate Odors From A Top Loading Washing Machine?
From time to time a washing machine will have unpleasant odors. This will sometimes permeate the laundry. This is the procedure I use to eliminate the smell. Fill the machine with hot water. Add 3 cups of chlorine bleach, such as, Clorox. Allow to sit for 1 hour, then, run a complete wash cycle. Repeat steps 1-3 using baking soda instead of bleach and the odors should be eliminated.
