You don’t have to go buy a special cleaning solution from the pet store, you can clean the stain and remove the smell with products you already have at home. Blot up as much of the urine as possible with paper towels if it’s still wet. Mix 2/3 cup water with 1/3 cup white vinegar and add a teaspoon of dish soap. A scented dish soap such as Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day can go a long way in curbing the smell. Pour the solution into a spray bottle. Spray the area with the solution and blot (don’t scrub) gently with a clean cloth. Continue spraying and blotting until the area is no longer stained and all visible traces of the urine are gone. “Rinse” the area with a clean damp cloth dipped in clean water. Sprinkle baking soda all over the area to cover it and allow it to sit f
