How Do You Educate Yourself On The Magic Of The Honeybee?
Honeybees have been going through a tumultuous time this past 3-5 years. Since 2006, colonies of bees watched over by beekeepers have begun to disappear. Even in a more distant past, colonies of feral honeybees have been declining since the mid 70’s. The hype over Colony Collapse Disorder has waned, but the problem has not stopped. Honeybees pollinate over 1/3 of the US’s crops which include our favorite fruits, vegetables and nuts. A book that I have read that is a wonderful book about honeybees is, Sweetness and Light: The Mysterious History of the Honeybee by Hattie Ellis. This book is heartwarming, interesting and makes me want to run through a wildflower field. The other book that I have read which is an absolutely fascinating read and one of my favorite books of all time is, The Shamanic Way of the Bee: Ancient Wisdom and Healing Practices of the Bee Masters by Simon B
