How Do You Edit Symbols On Garmin Etrex Vista?
You can use your Garmin eTrex Vista to store locations or landmarks of interest, also called waypoints, for easier reference later. Every time you create a waypoint in your Garmin eTrex Vista, your GPS assigns a default three-digit name and symbol to this new location. You have the option, however, to edit the symbols your GPS assigns to the waypoints after you create them. Press and hold the “Find” button on your Garmin eTrex Vista device. Choose “Waypoints” from the “Find” menu. Select the waypoint symbol you wish to edit and press “Enter.” Highlight the “Symbol” field that appears on your selected waypoint window. Use the waypoint symbol chart that pops up to select the symbol you wish to use for this waypoint.
