How do you eat/cook aloe vera??
People do consume aloe vera, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Aside from its unpleasant taste, it has other properties such as acting as a laxative. There will always be those who hold on to the perverse belief that for food to be particularly good for them it should taste bad. They drink nettle tea and gargle with salt. They are masochists and sadly try push their beliefs onto their children and freinds. Don’t fall for it. Aloe vera is useful as an antiseptic balm or soap, but not if you are planning a dinner party. If you want a nice tasting, healthy herb to grow and eat, try lemon balm. Smells nice too, and you can find verriegated varieties if you want it as a house plant.
