Anyone can grow avocado houseplants from seed. All you need to start germinating your houseplant “farm” is an avocado pit, a small container, water and a windowsill. No need to stab the seed with toothpicks, try to balance it over a cup of water and keep filled to the proper level (who can remember all that these days). Now, let’s start. Clean any remaining flesh from the pit of an avocado. Some people like to peel the brown skin from the pit, but that’s not necessary. Place the pit into a bowl of water.
