How Do You Easily Find The Major Scale Of Any Key On Piano?

0

The major scale is one of the most fundamental tools a musician has. It’s important to be able to instantly find it in any key. Here’s a quick and easy way to do just that! Start from the key you want to play a major scale in. Count out the next 12 keys (white and black included). In case you’re really new to playing music and don’t know much theory, the reason we do this is because the notes on the piano repeat themselves after every 12 keys (also known as semitones) To play a major scale simply play the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, and 11th keys. The same pattern repeats up and down the keyboard every 12 keys. So have fun jamming away in the major scale of any key you’d like! It doesn’t take long before this becomes simple second nature and you can do it on a moments notice!
