How Do You Ease The Itch Of Poison Ivy?
As a child, every summer I was over taken by poison ivy. If there was poison ivy within a 20 mile radius I got it. My face, legs, arms, hands, feet, back, belly just everywhere. I never got real relief from the over the counter creams, they did help but not enough. Thank God for my grandmother. Her home remedies are what gave me true relief. Follow these steps to a no itch zone. Take a long deep bath in oatmeal, Aveno sells a wonderful oatmeal bath. This really helps with the itch. After your bath, rub the insides of banana peels all over the poison ivy. I know, I know, just do it. It really does help a lot. Apply a Calamine, Zinc Oxide cream of your choice. You can pick these up at any drug store. Go swimming in a pool with chorine, the chorine will dry out the poison ivy. In my day they used Clorox in your bath, I do not recommend using Clorox.
