You might ask them if they’ve been out enjoying the nice weather or if they are celebrating something. Get drink orders. Bring their drinks back, and make small talk while you are passing them out. Your goal is to be fun and friendly but not flirt. Flirting might get you good tips sometimes, but it can be offensive. It is best to just be natural and pleasant. Upsell when you take their order.
