How Do You Dye Easter Eggs With Food Coloring?
Dying Easter eggs is a fun tradition that builds lasting memories for not only children, but parents as well. Spend the afternoon laughing and enjoying your family this Easter- just don’t forget the camera! Place your eggs in a pot of water and let them boil for 15 minutes. When done boiling, allow them to sit in the warm water for 10 more minutes. Before starting with your food coloring, lay out your newspaper on your work surface to avoid stains. Fill each coffee cup with water and boil it in the microwave. Carefully remove the glass from the microwave and add 1 tbsp. vinegar and a few drops of food coloring and stir. Remember, the more coloring, the darker! Repeat this for each color. Dry each egg individually and make designs on the warm egg with the white crayon. Carefully drop the egg in the colored water. Keep checking it for the proper shade. You can mix and match colors for more variety and fun! Remove the eggs carefully and place each egg in the egg carton to dry.
