How Do You Drive A Manual With A Broken Clutch Pedal?

• Turn the ignition to “on” position, and lock the steering wheel to get out of your car park. Turn the key on and off quickly — the car will jump forward a little. Keep doing that until you get out of the parking spot. • Have the gearstick in first, and start the car. It will hop, but it will start. • Drive and over-rev the vehicle a little. • Shift by moving the gearstick out of first and push it into second. It will take a little effort, and will probably grind, but there is a sweet spot where it will just slot in. • To shift up to the next gear, drive about 500-1000 rpm above that sweet spot and shift it into the next gear. • To downshift, pull it out of gear, give it a bit of a rev and slot it into gear. This is much harder than up-shifting, but it is doable. Turn the car off. When you come to a stop turn the car off.
