Dress as Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween, costume parties, plays or for fun. This costume works for any age group. The most important part of the costume is the cape. Choose a cape that hangs to the lower back or back of the knees. If the cape is any longer, the wearer can trip over it. If a child is wearing the costume, supervise her while she’s wearing the cape. For a storybook group theme, have another person dress up as the Big Bad Wolf and someone else as the Grandmother. Put on the dress. Put on the knee-length socks and the shoes. Put on the cape. Tie loosely around the neck. Carry the picnic basket on one arm. Put on the skirt and shirt. Tuck the shirt into the skirt. Put the corset on over the shirt. Arrange the shirt so it isn’t bunched under the corset. The top of the shirt should show over the top of the corset. Put on the socks or tights. Put on the shoes. Put on the cape.
