How Do You Dress For A Zombie Costume?
So you’ve decided to become a zombie at your next costume event. You’ve bought the makeup and are ready to look your decaying, undead best. Now you must choose what to wear. Pick an old suit. No one but George A. Romero knows why zombies dress in ill-fitting suits, but it seems to be the standard attire. Dig through your father’s closet or check a local second-hand store for a boxy, too-large suit as the base for your zombie costume. Choose a dingy white dress shirt, the more faded and stained, the better. If you can’t find a grungy looking white dress shirt, wash an old one in hot water with something black to achieve a grimy appearance. Add a filthy, loosely tied tie, if you wish. Use a razor blade to slice small cuts into the collar, cuffs and seams of all clothing items. Pull on the fabric repeatedly to turn the cuts into frayed material.
