How Do You Draw Hearts & Roses?
Hearts and roses are well-recognized symbols of love, and they are often placed together on tattoos, stickers and motorcycle helmets. Interestingly, hearts are commonly drawn in such a way that they barely resemble the actual muscles in the body that they’re meant to represent. This makes hearts drawn on paper a true icon that is meant to symbolize an abstraction of love more than the actual part of our body that we call the “heart.” Place your pencil slightly above the center of the paper. This will be your starting point for drawing the heart. Draw upward and to the right, forming a curve. Continue the curve to the right until the line is moving downward, forming a shape like a cartoon ear. Stop drawing when the pencil reaches a place directly beneath the starting point. Repeat a mirror image of steps 1 and 2. Begin at the same starting point, but draw upward and to the left.
