How Do You Draw Flame Car Stripes?
Adding flame detail to your car drawing is a finishing touch that will add a lot of visual interest. The process is simple to learn and all you need is a few colored pencils or markers to create a flame stripe along the side of a car. The colors can be modified to fit the color of the car, just remember to stay in the same color family. For example, red and orange are used in the example, below, but you can use blue and green, purple and blue or any two colors that touch each other on the color wheel. Draw a wavy line down the length of your car with your black marker or colored pencil. Draw three large C-shapes on top of the wavy line. Make sure the marks are evenly spaced and that the bottom of the “C” blends with the wavy line. Draw another “C” right beside your first ones. They should be touching so that they create a wavy, upside-down V-shape. These will be the large flames. Repeat Steps 2 and 3, but this time make small C-shapes and place the small “C” marks near the bigger ones
