A very basic oval shape can be created in most all versions of Photoshop by just creating a new file and then making the oval shape with your mouse. Once the oval is created, you can add color (and shadow) to create an oval background or image that can be incorporated into your website or used in the print media as part of your graphic design. Open your Photoshop program and go to the main screen. Open a new file and select a size for the file. To do this, click on the “File” setting at the very top-left of your screen. Then go to the top of the drop-down menu and click on “New.” A box will appear where you can choose the size and resolution of your image.
