How Do You Draw A Human Face?
“Hi, I am Bill Connolly, your artist extraordinaire, and today we are going to draw a human face. Some materials you need are a simple pencil, and I am going to use a dark brown pencil to make my face. Another material will be an eraser, because especially just starting out, you may make some mistakes there, nice soft eraser. And, a simple sheet of white paper, so let’s get started. I am going to show you the very basic layout of the face to start with. Drawn hundreds of faces over the years, and you start with a basic outline of the face. A lot of people think, “Well the eyes just go all the way to the top, and big nose in the middle and maybe a mouth toward the bottom.” But actually, if you look at your own head and divide a line, this is going to go half way between the top and the bottom. And, I am also going to draw one to divide the face in half vertically. And then, take this line and this line and divide it in half. That is going to be the lower nose line in there. Halfway betw
