How Do You Draw A Cow Skull?
Cow skulls have been a part of strange art ever since the work of Georgia O’Keefe. The stark contrast of the bleached bone and dark shadows–as well as the strange framing of the horns–serve to make compelling art. Cow skulls in art have an eerie and mysterious quality. Put this quality into your art. Take simple shapes. Transform them into a drawing of your own. Begin by drawing the basic frame. Draw a long oval for the head. Draw a circle on each side of the interior of the skull. Add a “U” shape on going up the skull. For the horns, draw diagonal lines coming out of the skull. Draw parallel lines around the horns. Split the skull down the middle with a line. Draw a diagonal line coming from the eye sockets and connecting to the nose. Add a jagged line across the nose. Draw two small rectangular shapes at the base of the nose. Add more details to the skull. Add curved lines going inside the skull on both sides. Add 2 sections of bone on the lower side of the jaw.
