Cats and dogs are regularly depicted as enemies and opposites. Cats are stereotyped as aloof and dogs as friendly. Imagine Garfield and Odie battling over the lasagna. However, in real life, cats and dogs often play together and enjoy each others’ company. Finding the pair of animals cuddled up sleeping is an adorable sight. Even if you don’t have a cat or dog, you can capture this image in a drawing. Search for a few pictures to imitate. Look in magazines, books or on the Internet to find images of a cat and dog sleeping. Place tracing paper over the images. Use the pencil to trace the images. Draw the basic shapes of the animal on top of the traced image on the tracing paper. For example, the body of a dog is an oval and the head is a circle.
